Crazy packed Spring schedule- check.
Amazing weddings - done.
Summer vacation- relaxed.
Now I feel like I finally have a chance to jump back into blogs *just* before the Fall wedding craziness hits!
And boy do I have some seriously amazing weddings to showcase from April. Let's start at the beginning...
April 7, 2018
The FABULOUSLY fun Diana and Kyle were my first of three April weddings. Did it rain on their wedding day? YES. Did they get adorable pictures with umbrellas and will they have good luck throughout their marriage? YES. Thankfully Diana and Kyle had the perfect venue for rain plans- Langtree Planation. They started off with a beautiful barn ceremony, and after, guests made their way down to the Pavilion for nothing short of a good time. Food- they had a delicious spread from Bouk and cake from Cheesecake, Etc. Dancing- Split Second Sound kept the party moving. Drinks- Kyle and Diana had their favorite beers, wines, and bourbons at the ready. To enjoy it all- check out their photos and video from Juan Ossa!

Kerrie and Pete's wedding did not have a great rain plan, so I was REALLY excited that their weather was the most perfect day of the year to-date. These two met sailing, and decided there was no other place for them to get married except where they spend of most of their time- the Lake Norman Yacht Club. So with a ceremony at the flagpole, a cocktail hour on the decks overlooking the lake, and a reception along the water under a sailcloth tent- things couldn't have been more amazing. This couple wanted a wedding no one could forget, so from the Dark and Stormy drinks served to guests as they arrived, to the band kicking it into high gear as soon as the reception was underway, the night was full of energy and joy. You can see the happiness in all the photos by Lunahzon!

Jen and Chris got engaged in November and wanted a Spring wedding. So we made it happen. In less than 5 short months, with lots of quality time together, it was time for the big day. And with enough smiles to fill a lifetime, the two said their vows surrounded by friends and family at the beautiful and quaint Ritchie Hill. If there was ever a venue made for two people, this was it. Jen and Chris wanted a simple, beautiful day where they could showcase their love in an environment that felt homey and comfortable. With simple, timeless colors and decor - lots of whites, blushes, and greenery - their day felt effortless and light, full of happiness and love... just like them. You can see their glow in the photos by Milk and Honey Photography Co.

Each of these weddings was so very different, and that's what I love about my job! No matter the season, the weather, the theme, we make each wedding fit each couple. April was such an amazing month for us this year- I miss all of these couples! I hope everyone's first married year is turning out to be as amazing as your weddings were.
Happy Planning,
Libby
